Short, and in the same language as everything else here.

Demonstration site

This is a demonstration website. Plainspoken Medicare is not a real company, the phone number and address are not real, and nothing here is an offer of insurance or personal advice. Medicare figures shown are for 2026 and are illustrative. Always confirm your own situation at Medicare.gov or by calling 1-800-MEDICARE.

What this website is

General information about Medicare, written to be understood. It is not advice about your particular situation, and it cannot be, because we do not know your situation until you tell us.

Every figure here is for 2026 unless it says otherwise. Medicare amounts change every year, and rules change from time to time. We update this site each fall, but the authoritative source is always Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE.

What it is not

  • It is not an application for insurance and nothing here enrolls you in anything.
  • It is not medical advice, tax advice or legal advice.
  • It is not a complete list of the plans available where you live.

Required disclosures

We do not offer every plan available in your area. Any information we provide is limited to those plans we do offer in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE to get information on all of your options.

Plainspoken Medicare is not connected with or endorsed by the United States government or the federal Medicare program.

We are a licensed independent insurance agency. Enrollment in a plan depends on the plan’s contract renewal with Medicare.

How we are paid

When you enroll in a plan through us, the insurance company pays us a commission that it sets. You pay us nothing, and your premium is identical whether you enroll through us, through another agency, or directly with the company. Commissions for Medicare Advantage and Part D plans are capped by CMS at the same level across companies.

Links to other sites

Where we link to Medicare.gov, Social Security or an insurance company, we are not responsible for what is on those sites. We link to them because they are the right source, not because we control them.

Errors

We try hard to be accurate and we will get something wrong eventually. If you find a mistake, tell us at hello@plainspokenmedicare.com and we will correct it and say so. Nothing on this page limits any right you have under Ohio law.

Complaints

If we have handled something badly, call (419) 555-0142 and ask for the person who owns the business. If that does not resolve it, you may complain to your state insurance department, or to Medicare on 1-800-MEDICARE.
